Short form

Arthur Sinodinos entered the Australian Senate on 13 October 2011.

He was previously Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science from January 2017 to December 2017, Cabinet Secretary from September 2015 to January 2017 and Assistant Treasurer from September 2013 to December 2014.

He was appointed Shadow Parliamentary Secretary to the Leader of the Opposition in September 2012, a position he held until the election of the Abbott Government. 

He is an expert on financial markets, economics and public policy, reflecting his experience gained through previous roles as an economist with the Commonwealth Treasury and Department of Finance, and Chief of Staff to Prime Minister John Howard for nine years.
